The Cricket World Cup circus is back in town, this time based in New Zealand and Australia. It’s a competition that comes around only every four years, so plenty of intrigue surrounds it in the cricketing world. Read on for all you need to know about the tournament, and playing along on SuperBru.

What happened last time?
India beat Sri Lanka by six wickets in the final of the 2011 World Cup. South Africa were the only side to beat them in the whole tournament – the Proteas themselves were knocked out by New Zealand in a shock result in the quarter finals.
Tillakaratne Dilshan was the leading run scorer, scoring a whopping 500 runs from the nine matches he played in, while Shahid Afridi and Zaheer Khan were the leading wicket takers, with 21 apiece.
