NRL 2015: Tournament Preview

The National Rugby League is Australia’s top level rugby league tournament, comprising 16 teams and including one from New Zealand – the Warriors.

Last season

The South Sydney Rabbitohs, the franchise owned by Russell Crowe, stormed to victory in the grand final against the Bulldogs (30-6), having beaten the Roosters (32-22) and the Sea Eagles (40-24) in the play-offs. The Rabbitohs actually only finished third in the regular season league table, with both sides they beat in the play-offs finishing above them.

At the other end of the table, the Sharks finished comfortably bottom, with the Raiders and the Titans above them.

  1. Not a huge Rugby League fan however must admit I do like the NRL! I hope the Broncos improve from last year and get back to the glory days of the 19th!
